1.  Get Ready to Sell

Set up your MK2YK account

Research similar items

Search or browse through similar items to see how other sellers describe similar items and what categories they typically list similar items in.

Take a digital photo of your item - make sure it is clear, and upload extra pictures if necessary.

Calculate your Sale Price including postage and packaging:

Sale Price =  your valuation of the item + postage & packaging (if required)

Set up your PayPal Account:

We only accept payment via PayPal – PayPal is not only convenient to use, but it also offers buyers and sellers protection assistance against fraud, charge-backs and theft of financial data. For more information click here.

2.  Sell, sell, sell!

You're now ready to list your item.

a) Go to Your Account and click on 'Publish a new Ad'

b) Fill in the 'publish a free ad' form using the handy hints as guidance - DON'T forget to fill in your school's name if you want to donat the FULL amount from the sale directly to your PTA.

c) Post your free ad

d) You will then receive notification via email. You MUST verify the advert before it will be published. This is to ensure all adverts are real.

e) View your ad and wait for someone to buy!

3.  Complete the Sale

You will be notified by MK2YK when your item(s) has been bought. MK2YK will give the buyer your contact details in order to make contact and arrange for the transfer to be made.

If you choose to send the item(s) by post, then make sure you deliver. Pack your item well, and send ensuring you have return address details.

Both parties will be asked to confirm the transfer of items has been made and should confirm this via email to MK2YK.  At this point funds will be transferred to the sellers allocated paypal account. We will ONLY transfer funds to a PAYPAL account for security purposes. If you do not have a Paypal account plesae set one up and update your account with the email address used for paypal account administration.

If you have chosen to donate the full amount to your allocated PTA, MK2YK will arrange this on your behalf when confirmation of the transfer has been made.

Sellers Fees

Advertising the item you want to sell is FREE.

If you don’t sell you don’t get charged!

We charge a fee of 15% of the sale price (includes our PayPal’s transaction charges)

e.g your item sells at £8 plus postage of £2

15% of £10 is £1.50

Therefore we transfer £8.50 to your PayPal account.
